Allow me to explain about socks, most standard mens socks are around 8-9 inch long and stretch the rest of the way to fit a size 12 which is 12 inch long. Big and tall xl large socks start at around 11-12 inch and stretch the rest of the way to 15. So a size 11 and up can technically wear 13-15 socks specially if he is over 6 feet tall, standard dress socks may be too short for him.
